Founding dataformat.com in 1998, Steve wound his way into things textual and
structured via a book design and composition programming path that plunged into
reference computing. When not busy putting 20 plus years of experience in the
digital trenches to serious work for his clients, he can be found out on the water or looking at the world through a set of handlebars.
PAUL HAYSLETT: Senior Architect, Developer & Consultant
Since before the beginning we’ve been blessed to have this guy on
board—one of the great minds of reference and textual computing. When not wowing
mere mortals with his coding prowess, Paul spends time with his wife and two
children . . . or engaging the fine pursuits of beer brewing, sailing, or
orienteering.
JASON BUSH: Network Administrator & Support Specialist
Master of the chilly room stuffed with big boxes with blinking lights connected
by miles of cables, your data is stored and served safely thanks to Jason's hardware,
networking, and administrative skills. He also provides the calming voice and helping
hand when you need answers or assistance.
HELEN LANGONE: Data architect / Conversion Specialist / Consultant
Helen (aka neologica) is a committed dictionary slash computer nerd, specializing
in data conversions. She lives in Brooklyn and occasionally gets out in
"naytcha". But most of the time she can be found pondering the origins of words
while whipping someone’s messy data into converted perfection. If you are not
cursing your data, then she’s done her job!
MICHELE NEWKIRK: Composition Specialist
Working with us since the beginning, Michele is responsible for the beautiful
page layouts you see in the letterpress editions and dictionaries we compose. A
native of Vermont and equestrian enthusiast, she is also an outstanding artist
to boot.
LISA PERKINS: Administrative Assistant
Lisa came on board in 2005 and helped wrangle this very busy place into order.
Chief number cruncher and organizer of chaos we would be helpless without her.
An avid boater and sun worshipper, she also is reknowned for the scratch made
goodies that mean all dataformat.comers (and clients that come to visit) must
engage in serious cardiovascular exercise.
