Work Environments
Along with a content management system, perhaps the most important part of any publishing
workflow process is the environment content managers, creators, and
editors work in. It’s always been a challenge to minimize complexity in tools that are required to present users
with a high level of functionality and sophisticated data entry capability.
We believe we’ve met that challenge with our ability to customize administrative
tools, structured data
editing applications, and web forms to produce friendly and efficient work environments.
Good user interfaces don’t stop at good presentation—we also create tools that are specific to the tasks that the users perform frequently. In
many cases they can be made specific to the needs of an individual project. This keeps productivity high and training
costs low.
If your project is using a relational database application, chances are we may be
able to improve on that as well. Quite often project teams are working with
databases that either weren’t professionally developed or supported, or perhaps
need to be migrated to a web interface that will allow remote access.
Improvements in the underlying data structures, user interface, and
accessibility can lead to greater usability of the resulting information, gains
in productivity, and the ability of such applications to work in concert with
other parts of the user environment.
